hello...

Welcome to my very first blog post!

I remember when blogs first came to hit their peak - reading Julie and Julia, then watching it become a major motion picture with Meryl Streep...I, along with many others, jumped on the blogosphere bandwagon! I have always loved to write, but I hit a block when trying my hand at blogging. We truly are our own worst critics, and I reread and rewrote every little line with an overly critical eye. 

Fast forward years later (shoot - I just checked, and Julie and Julia was first published in 2005! Eek!) - and I have found my niche in life as a calligrapher and hand-letterer, and can't wait to share the journey and knowledge. This little blog is a forum is not only for reflection, but for continuous learning and empowerment among peers.

I want to share what I have learned about calligraphy, the business practices that I use, the ups and downs of being a small business owner...and TONS of other random and fun things! How to hold a pen, my love for ink and paper - anything really. 

Looking forward to this coming year, and the experiences it brings!
